How telecom industry evolving

Television as part of the global digital ecosystem: At SATOMRUS 2019, industry experts will discuss the prospects of the television market:

October 3, 2019 in St. Petersburg, at the Central Museum of Communications named after A.S. Popov, the XXIV international conference of operators and users of the satellite communications network of the Russian Federation  SatComRus 2019 will be held .

The conference annually brings together all the major players in the satellite telecommunications industry, domestic and foreign operators, television and radio companies and broadcasters, system integrators, leading manufacturers of communications satellites and telecommunications equipment, as well as analysts from major Russian and international agencies and media representatives.

Telesputnik together with the FSUE Space Communication (SPS) will hold a session  “Television in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. How does the television industry adapt to a new technological reality? ” Dedicated to the digital transformation of television viewing and video consumption.

Operators of television services are de facto becoming multi-service platforms providing access to various information and entertainment media services, including such a progressive direction as smart home management. What role will television play in the camera business? Will we witness a new round of competition between linear and non-linear broadcasting? How will DVB and IP develop in the context of 5G network deployment?

With the advent of new broadcast media, the issue of content protection in all of these media is becoming increasingly relevant. How can TV market players follow rapidly changing development trends and independently shape market trends? What growth points can the television industry rely on in the near future? How to build a modern infocommunication ecosystem, the harmonious and integral part of which will be media consumption? How should content change following technology?

The answers to these and other questions will be given by reputable experts of the television market, heads of broadcasters, technology companies, content producers and cloud service providers. At the end of the business part of the conference program, SatComRus Awards2019 and TelesputnikAwards2019 awards will also be held.

A significant and important achievement in the telecommunications industry for each company for several years is the All-Ukrainian Prize - Telecom Awards.

This year, the Telecom Awards 2019 companies and personalities award ceremony was held on September 7 in Odessa as part of the 5th anniversary meeting of Telecom Ukraine 2019.  A huge number of participants (including such giants as Kyivstar, Vodafon Ukraine, LifeSell, Datagroup, VOLIA, TV channels Ukraine, 1 + 1, ICTV, etc.) and more than 70 submitted projects awaited their well-deserved awards at the ceremony.

The organizing committee and the expert committee selected winners in 18 nominations, among which:   “Decision of the year in the field of mobile and wireless communications”, “Decision of the year in the field of media”, “Decision of the year in the field of backbone networks and transport services”, “Best regional television content provider”, “Social project of the year” , etc.
